Heavier than my old cast iron, but that weight lets it hold heat like a champ; the lid fits perfectly with those self-basting ridges that keep my roast chicken incredibly moist.
The self-basting ridges on the lid really help keep meats moist without extra work, and having a cast iron knob that can go in the oven is a huge plus. This set feels solid and well-balanced
