I was worried about the weight, but the thinner sidewalls make this pan noticeably easier to handle than my old one. The pre-seasoning held up perfectly on the first few cooks.
The polished surface really does develop a nonstick layer with use—after just a few eggs, nothing stuck. And it's noticeably lighter than my old pan, so handling it is much easier.
I was surprised how much lighter this skillet is compared to my old one—the thinner sidewalls make a real difference when flipping pancakes. The pre-seasoned surface gave me a great nonstick start right out of the box.
The polished surface really does feel smoother than my old cast iron, and the pre-seasoning held up nicely on the first few uses. I do wish the thinner sidewalls made it a bit more durable, but it’s noticeably lighter for flipping pancakes.
