Skillet, lid, and knob are all 100% cast iron and Made in the USA. Our vintage-style lid design includes self-basting ridges, to ensure even braising and steaming for stovetop and oven cooking.
The self-basting lid keeps the moisture cycling so well that my pot roast came out fork-tender without me having to peek once. The whole set being 100% cast iron, even the knob, means I can throw it straight from the stovetop into the oven without a second thought.
This skillet and lid weigh a ton, but that's exactly what I wanted. The self-basting lid is genius—my stew came out more tender than anything I've made in my old Dutch oven, and the knob being solid cast iron means I don't worry about melting anything in the oven.
First time I’ve had a lid that actually matches the skillet perfectly instead of wobbling around, and the whole set feels like it’ll outlive me. The knob is all cast iron too, so no cheap plastic to worry about when it heats up.
